Mr. Gorman is a partner of Levun, Goodman & Cohen, LLP, and has been practicing law since 1987. Mr. Gorman’s focus is on a business, technology and transactional practice, concentrating on the representation of closely held businesses and individuals with respect to business planning, contract negotiation, mergers and acquisitions, technology and internet issues, real estate matters, corporate and partnership law, and estate planning. Mr. Gorman is admitted to practice in both Illinois and Michigan.

Mr. Gorman has counseled a wide range of small and mid-sized companies, across numerous industries, including technology companies, health care networks, preferred provider organizations, a national insurance reconstruction company, and real estate developers among many others. Mr. Gorman previously acted as the Executive Vice President, General Counsel, Corporate Secretary, and Chief Privacy Officer at a publicly traded, Internet portal, which consistently ranked in the top 50 most trafficked sites on the Internet. Having counseled this company in both internal and external roles, he has been integral in each stage of its development from concept to publicly traded company, including formation, site launch, multiple private equity raises, negotiation of numerous strategic relationships and the company’s initial public offering.

Mr. Gorman’s combination of internal and external experience permit him to provide a unique legal-business perspective when counseling clients and problem solving, that goes beyond mere technical legal advice.

Mr. Gorman received a Juris Doctor degree (1987) from DePaul University College of Law. He also has a Bachelor of Arts degree in Marketing (1984) from Michigan State University.
