Drawing upon his extensive combination of internal and external experiences, Bob brings with him a unique legal and business perspective and problem-solving skills that goes beyond mere technical legal advice.  He brings a practical, real world, businessman’s perspective to the matters he handles for each client and finds creative solutions to get deals done. 

Bob is a partner with the firm and focuses his legal practice on a wide variety of clients involving general corporate, transactional and estate planning matters. 

Through his corporate and transaction practice, Bob has extensive experience at leading mergers, acquisitions and divestures, joint ventures, capital raises, representation of family offices and closely held businesses. Further, he has represented numerous clients in entity structuring, contract negotiations, real estate matters, technology, executive compensation and employment matters, and governance issues.  Bob regularly counsels a wide range of clients, from start-ups to mid-market companies and lenders, across numerous industries, including internet and technology companies, health care networks, manufacturing businesses, banks, franchisees, real estate construction and property managers, among many others.   Clients frequently utilize Bob as their external general counsel, seeking his advice and input on a wide variety of legal and business matters. 

In his estate planning practice, Bob patiently works with clients to understand their specific needs and desires to establish appropriate plans to meet their specific situations and family requirements. Bob also works with clients to protect disabled family members and to minimize estate taxes.   He also assists in estate administration matters and development of succession plans for family businesses.

Bob previously acted as the Executive Vice President, General Counsel, Corporate Secretary, and Chief Privacy Officer at a publicly traded internet company which ranked in the top 50 most trafficked sites on the Internet. He counseled this company in both internal and external roles.  Bob was integral in each stage of the company’s development, from inception and business launch, to becoming and operating as a publicly traded company.  He was actively engaged in all phases of the company’s development, including formation, site launch, multiple equity raises, negotiation of numerous strategic relationships, the initial public offering and management of its explosive growth.
